Motion Text in Claude
Paste one URL into Claude's connector settings and ask for a video in plain language.
You don't need a terminal or a config file. Claude's desktop and web apps connect to hosted tools through Settings → Connectors, and Motion Text is one URL pasted into the custom connector box. From then on you can ask for a lyric video, a narrated photo story, or a captioned clip the way you'd ask for anything else, and Claude builds a paced, captioned draft and hands back a link.
The link is the important part. Claude drafts; you direct. The project opens on a real timeline in the Motion Text editor, where you retime lines, swap in your own music and images, apply a visual preset, and export the MP4. Nothing is locked inside the chat.
Connect Claude
Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, then paste the URL:
https://motiontext.video/mcp/studioThere's no file to edit. The connector is saved to your Claude account, so it follows you between the desktop app and the web app. Manage or remove it in the same Settings → Connectors panel where you added it.
That's the studio endpoint: Claude walks you through a one-click sign-in, and the full toolset then works on your own projects, with 1080p/4K server renders on Pro. Your first prompt
Connected but staring at a blank prompt is where most people abandon an MCP server. Paste this into Claude and you will have an edit link back in a few seconds.

Swap in your own words and change the length, format, or mood. Line breaks are load-bearing: the Director paces scenes and captions from them, so one beat per line gives it a rhythm to work with where a paragraph makes it guess.

Good to know
- Sign in when Claude prompts you: your projects, your plan's limits, no token to copy or paste.
- Give it a script with one beat per line. The Director paces scenes and captions from the line breaks.
- Ask for a mood (cinematic, dreamy, energetic) and Claude picks a matching visual preset instead of guessing.
- On Pro, ask for a 1080p or 4K render and Claude queues the server render and polls it to a download link.
Questions
Which Claude apps support connectors?
The desktop and web apps both have Settings → Connectors, where a custom connector takes a URL. Claude Code is a separate setup, one terminal command, and has its own guide.
Do I need an account?
For the studio endpoint, yes. You sign in with Google when Claude prompts, and a free account is created on the spot. There's also an anonymous endpoint that drafts without any account at all.
Can Claude export the finished MP4?
On Pro it queues a real 1080p or 4K server render and returns a download link. On the free plan it drafts, and you export from the editor in your browser.
Does Claude see my other projects?
Everything is scoped to your account and your plan's limits: the projects you'd see if you opened the editor yourself, and nothing else.
